2014 BANQUET OF CHAMPIONS
The 2014 Banquet of Champions will be
held at the Caesar’s Crystal Palace
1058 Cleveland Road – Sandusky
Ohio 44870 on January 31st,
Doors will open at 4:00PM and Dinner will begin at 5:00PM –
Awards will follow.
Please bring your desired beverages to the banquet for the
entire evening. There will not be a bar
or refreshments served by the banquet facility.
Tickets are $35.00 from now until January 1st, 2015. On January 2nd, 2015 the ticket
price will be $40.00 – NO TICKETS WILL BE SOLD AFTER January 15th,
YOU MUST BE PRESENT TO
RECEIVE AWARDS AND/OR POINT MONEY
ACCOMODATIONS: We have secured a limited amount of
rooms if you wish to stay in town or participate in the Friday night party/bowling
or stay after the banquet. (See attached
information). This year we will be using the Quality Inn – located about 3 blocks from the Banquet Hall at 1935
Cleveland Road – you must call the hotel directly at: 419-626-6761 and the rate will be $99.00. Once this hotel is full they will begin using
the Motel 6 located in Huron at 601
Rye Beach Road (419-433-7829). This is approximately 10 minutes from the
Banquet Facility. You must state that
you are with Sandusky Speedway to get the negotiated rate.

excited about the changes that are happening at Sandusky Speedway and within
our organizations and it has already started with our Banquet of Champions!!!
to work with the Holiday Inn in Westlake, however we were not able to come to
terms with them to make that we believe would be successful and affordable
banquet for you.
To start we
are moving the 2014 Banquet of Champions to the Caesar’s Crystal Palace in
Sandusky, Ohio. http://caesarscrystalpalace.com/ This is a great facility that will have plenty
of seating and is conducive to our needs.
The facility does not have a liquor license therefore giving you the
opportunity to bring your own drinks and in turn saving you money!
We have also
consolidated all the organizations into one banquet this year. The primary reason behind this decision is
that the dates that we could hold the banquet(s) would not allow us to offer
rooms at the hotel(s) because of availability.
The property that we will be using this year (Quality Inn) will be
Sandusky just a few blocks from the Banquet facility. They currently have
limited space due to the construction of a new 5 story Holiday Inn Express
which will be available for room rentals during next year’s banquet.
During this year’s
banquet we will have a ‘hospitality room’ at the Quality Inn. On Friday it will open around 8pm and on
Saturday it will open after the award ceremony.
On Friday you are welcome to bring your own drinks into the ‘hospitality
room’ however, you may not take any drinks outside of the room. Violations will be dealt with by the hotel
and they have stated that it would be removal from the property.
Inn property has a Bowling Alley, Laser Tag area, small Water Park, Virtual
Golfing, off track betting area and a restaurant (Thirty Pony) all located
within the hotel. If you choose to book
a room at the Quality Inn you will receive 4 water park passes per room and a
continental breakfast each morning.
Unfortunately, Motel 6 does not offer these amenities however does have
an indoor pool and room access from the inside of the building. It was newly remolded about 2 years ago.
will participate in Dough and Bowl (at the Quality Inn). For $10.00 per person you will be able to eat
all the pizza you can eat and bowl as much as you like. We have also secured a lounge area in the
bowling alley which will include a bartender.
This event will run from 11:00pm until 2:00am (depending on how many are
after the Banquet we will move back over to the Quality Inn and have the
hospitality room open for those who would like to drink, listen to music and
running short – we needed to move quickly to get things set up. Next year we look to have all rooms in one
area as the new hotel will be built and expand on the things that we have done
for this year.
